That theme seems a little narrow and old school, going with more of a magazine theme wold give the appearance of a more professional site and better accommodate advertisements, I noticed you have a Google page rank of 0, which reflects on the traffic potential (that rating is updated about every 10 weeks) Learning SEO and spending some time on other sites earning backlinks can help your search engine ranking, though I couldn't identify a clear subject of the site on my brief visit, knowing the search phrases most likely to attract visitors and making he focus of the site comprehensible to search engines is a part of the SEO process.
You might have a look at the sort of sites that indirect sell banner space through the broker BlogAds.com note most get over 1000 views a week. Most blogs use Google Adsense ads, which blogger was created for.

reading other blogs is good effort
i like it but i feel like i'm reading your diary!!!
i feel like i shouldn't read it.
i think ifyour going to do a blog you need to have a focus.
i don't see a focus on this site other then you and your random thoughts.
frankly i don't see myself gaining anything from it.
maybe focus on your life with diabetes!
and be consistant with your post don't post when you want to .. post every monday or what ever day or every day. pick a system and stick with it.
have guest writers.
and ask to be a guest writer on your topic on other simular blogs and ask for link backs!
Good luck

Hiya =)
So I started writing blog a couple of years ago just to get my thoughts out and kind of just in the hopes that it would maybe get a couple of views or something. I didn't think too much of it at the time.
I was on and off it for a while but recently I have been taking it more seriously, trying to blog once a week. Again, it was almost like therapy for me, just a way of clearing my head and getting my stuff out there. Anyway, I have just surpassed 1,200 page views, which I know isn't a lot considering how many people are online but it was a hue milestone for me. These are from at least 17 different countries which is a massive confidence boost for me, considering I never thought I would get this many.
So anyway, quite a few of my friends and family have asked if I've considered writing a book or a column or something. I never had considered it because I don't think I'm that good. And I'm not trying to come across as humble or anything, I just genuinely don't know if I'm there. But then I don't know if I'll ever be there! So I thought, why not just give it a shot?
SO, after all that! How would I go about it? Is there anyone I could send a link to my blog to? Who do I need to get in touch with? Websites, contacts, articles online, all suggestions would be very much appreciated!
Also, I would love some honest feedback on how to improve so if you have a minute to check out my blog it would be appreciated muchly =)
