Used clothes just do not sell at anything approaching fair value. It is the pressure from the flea market, Goodwill, Salvation Army type of "stores." I do think you would be wise to just list some of your very best items with a "package price." I would just try to sell in person rather than online. I feel sorry about your situation; but, you are just going to have to take an awful loss on your clothes, no matter the brand and quality.
Craigslist is a poor choice for selling used clothing. I often see bags and boxes full in their free section.
With clothing presentation is 90% of your sale. I remember the first item of clothing I ever tried to sell. It was a white no name blouse my wife had picked up at a yard sale. She paid a dime for it. I had her model it with the top few buttons undone and a push up bra to show lots of cleavage. I cut her face out of the picture. I listed it as a hot little clubbing top. It sold for a price that was likely higher than it originally sold for in a store. I realized that sex sells and it sells better to women than to men. As I said presentation is everything.
Since then we have sold tons of clothing and almost always get good prices out of them. We do not list clothing on Craigslist though, we use eBay. My wife no longer models for me though, I have three to five different models I hire for shoots now and I use a real photographer instead of trying to do it myself.
Clothing on a hanger or laying on a bed just doesn't cut it. People want to see what it looks like being worn. When trying to do business you must think business.
Craiglist is one of the most powerful website for classified ads.You can register there & post your ad ( for selling ) there.I think it is helpful to you.& otherwise i suggest you for selling you must use olx,quikr,vivastreet,alibaba.com etc.it is also helpful to you for selling.
I keep trying to sell my clothes but no body seems interested. They are abercrombie, hollister, aeropostale, etc those kinds of brands but nobody seems interested all for a reasonable cheap price. I posted them in different ads by the way. do you think ill attract more people if i combine all the brands and sell them all together in one post? also is there any other things i could sell? i need money fast and my parents wont give me some. this is my only option. please help! thanks!
