Unfortunately not many gadgets hold their values and when newer models come out yours will lose value immediately. That's just the way things are I'm afraid.
Do your best to make:
Clear detailed photographs (take them in good lighting conditions )
Photograph the dent (a close up!) then people can make up their own mind
Show the ipad switched/powered "on"
Write as much as you can about it and talk about the dent. You'll be surprised that you will probably get a better response because your being honest.
Good luck selling :)
I would look around your social group (friends and family) and see if anyone is interested in the ipad ( at a reasonable price). If you dont find anyone interested. Go to ebay and try to sell it there or just sell it to gazelle. maybe apple would buy it back. The problem of course is you wont get near $529 because tech devalues every time a new version comes out.
You never get as much money "recycling" your electronics than selling them yourself. What I would do? Sell it! Use ebay or craigslist. Personally I love craigslist and have sold tons of things on there as well as bought a lot of things.
Just be honest and upfront with your description and you'll be good to go!
I agree with Calix. Everyday come new technology, don't waste money on invaluable things.
I am thinking about getting an iPad 2. I currently have an iPad 1. I don't want to waste money on an iPad 2, so I have come up with a couple of ideas for selling it.
1. My iPad has a small, very shallow dent and I thought people might not want an iPad with a dent. Of course, there are a ton of electronic recycling programs that I could recycle my iPad on and get money for. So far the highest price is $192.50. The iPad I want is $529. So should I recycle my iPad and buy the new one, or
2. Find somebody willing to buy a teeny bit dented iPad and use that money for the iPad 2?
Any other ideas would be super helpful for those skilled marketing and business people out there. Or somebody who just has good ideas. All opinions and thoughts all helpful and welcome.
Thanks!
