HI ....Start small..but start. Get/make a business cards & a basic website so people can reach you. Ask the local food store if you can offer free samples and if it goes well you let that store have first dibs or a special discount when they buy/sell your cakes/pies. Mrs Fields ( Mrs Fields Cookies USA) used to walk around a shopping mall all day handing out free samples till she got enough people to try , then it took off.

Get a mailing list of households in your local area filtered by birth month .. if your in the USA try www.marcpub.com .. that way you can do a mailing to a household offering a "special" if someone happens to have a birthday in that month ( of course you know they do). Ask local stores if they would sell your product line ( start small..say just pies..then add more later). Do bakings' for fundraisers and Firehouse breakfast fundraisers ( just make sure your card is visible in front of the pie/cake) ..keep plugging away , use your imagination & passion for what you do to keep the progress going.!

3. Labour

4. Organisation

5. Marketing

6. Risk Taking Ability.

You have got a vision. Now you need capital and the rest.

i would get some business cards or print some leaflets/posters and hand them around shops for people to find out about you. I would start with a small stand in your front garden and then when you start making money try and buy space in your town centre so you can legally sell there. Hopefully youll get custumers

i bake and make deserts and cakes and just want to sell them locally and maybe in the county but how would i go about doing that .. say advertising and getting it star ted ? i have no idea ?
