Is Quibids a scam or legit?

Posted at: 2015-03-04
Well, I wanted to try out the site for awhile now, but I need to know if it's legit.

You have to read the T&C and FAQ: "Each bid costs just $0.60, available in Bid Packs." You have to buy 100 bids for $60, and then: "A maximum of 20 seconds is added to the timer every time someone bids. This gives enough time for someone else to make the decision to bid if they're interested. This is similar to 'Going once..Going twice..SOLD!'" http://www.quibids.com/help/faq/15-New-t...

TIP: they're not "auctions" at all, it's more like gambling.

It costs per bid whether you win or not. People might get items for a cheap final sale price, but you need to pay to bid so many times to do that that it is not worth it. They also extend the bid time if you try to do it last second, so can't do that either. Chances are you will just waste money without getting any item at all.

It depends on what you mean by "legit". It is not identity theft. There are winning bids that get the thing for less than market price. The catch is that probability favors squandering more money on unsuccessful bids than the thing is worth before you get the successful bargain bid.

Stop buying things you do not need.

It only makes you poor.
