Thumbs Up to and 100% agree with Jake. Also the fancy title is a dead give away of a scammer or professional seller who is not in your area. I would suggest you move on. To someone you can either meet at their home or the local mall.
craigslist is okay and I've used it for many things (bought my brand new fridge for $75.00) and never had a problem but you have to keep your wits about you, know when it's too good to be true and when to walk, otherwise you're going to learn the hard way.
Craigslist is a local thing, If they start talking about shipping, money upfront, and cannot meet in person either at their home or a public place, just walk away.
You were smart to ask for advise on this one.
It's not whether Craigslist is trusted or not, but the seller posting on Craigslist. Craigslist is simply an electronic bulletin board where sellers and buyers come together to make their deals. Craigslist has nothing to do with the actual transactions. They give no warranties or guarantees. Both buyer and seller have to take steps to protect themselves from fraud and criminal acts. But in any case, make the deal in person. Do some research also on Craigslist scams and how they are carried out.
In addition to the other warnings, which are true. Meeting in person has it's risks. Many people nowadays offer to meet in person as long as you bring cash. When you do, their friends come out, beat you up, take your cash, and leave.
Best way is to meet in person, in a very public place, with 3 friends. Make sure you're not followed when you drive home. Scary world, but better safe than sorry.
My friend is married to a cop & he says a good rule (not foolproof) is to ask them to take a pic of their ID and text it to you or email it to you. They can cross out their address if they want but the ID should have their pic. When you go to meet, if the person doesn't look like the ID pic, leave. If they do, and they end up scamming you somehow, at least you have their pic and ID number.
Search for annajakson31 (from the email) and you will find 7 other electronics ads run on craigslist in various cities, this looks like some sort of professional seller, maybe handling hot merchandise.
I bet you cant get them to meet in person in Dallas.
As Jake has stated, there are auctions listed in New Hampshire, San Diego and Dallas. Odds are zero that Anna is a triplet.
I am planning on getting this ipad mini on craiglist here it is : http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ele/4224061046.html is it trustable should I get it
thankx :)
