Is my domain name self explanatory?

Sounds good to me. Kudos on the site by the way. It looks good.

First of all, whatever country you were born in (a native of) makes that language your native language. Are you trying to state that English is not your native language?

Secondly, since this is a blog, it's not important that your domain name describe what your site is about, but what is important is that the titles of your posts be related to the keywords you are seeking to rank for. Do a Google search for "on page optimization" to help you learn more about this.

Log is a more of a formal style of record, they often had the line in Star Trek episodes "Ship's Log Stardate 2542", destinationDiary would be a more personal sounding and catchy title.

(destinationDiary.com is taken but .net, .org are available)

destination is well understood to be about travel, people should get it no problem.

You must be a native language speaker somewhere?

yes. people will get it that it's a travel blog, plus, they'll look at the content and the pics so it would be obvious.

don't worry and best of luck.

Hello,

I'm not a native language speaker. Would you please advice if my domain name is clear and describes website content clearly? How?

www.destinationlog.com

I'm afraid it can be mixed up with a computer niche. I meant it to be the travel blog.
