You NEVER post ads for another person on Craigslist unless you not only want to be arrested, but also forced to pay restitution to everyone who lost money from the ads you posted.. They want you to post fake jobs that will make the person who responds spend money for registration, materials, training, etc. But there is no job. When the victims who lost money file a police report, the police arrest you as you placed the ads and YOU will be forced to pay every victim the money they lost. Your wages will be garnished until they have all been repaid
Sometimes it is scam. It is scam when people ask your bank account number and routing number
Yeah he stopped responding and ducked your questions. Classic traits of a scam!
Thank you all so much for your replies, I was asking about his company and he randomly stopped answering, and then told me to post an ad on craigslists for AUTO WRAPPING. I had a gut feeling it was a scam, but now I know for sure. I blocked his phone number and all contacts with him! THANK YOU!

Sounds like a typical CL scam "job".
Ultimately, it would have been a fake check scam.
i would contact that person again and get my money sent through moneygram if you dont get it then its a scam and that person wouldnt have your information anyway so its worth a shot.
had similar encounter with a person like that.they will send you a cashiers check and have u cash it and send them back a portion of it.its a scam and you will go to jail for that.cut all ties with this person immediatly.I was lucky that the bank manager didint call police.i got lucky and learned a very valuable lesson
It's a scam! Somehow, they will get your bank information or you will be tricked into cashing a bad check that YOU will be responsible for. Please don't contact that person again.
Sounds like a scam to me.
You're giving your bank account number to someone you've never met, who wants you to do something shady on the internet.
So I posted an add on craigslist in the resume/work wanted section, and in my add I explained how I have no reliable transportation at the moment but need to work to get out of the unhealthy living enviorment i find myself in. I stated that I preferred to work either from home, or somewhere that would not mind if i occasionally could not find a ride to the job or i would like to work as a live in care taker of some sort
Shortly after I got a text message (i put my phone number on the add) from a 424 area code number (I live in maryland) offering me a job posting ads on craigslist for about $550 a week, it sounded too easy so i went in to question.
I asked how I would be paid, and he offered direct deposit, or a check as the preffered method, otherwise he said we could work out western union or a money gram. I too would prefer direct deposit or a check. I told him I would do the job, so i'm waiting on furthor detail (by him i'm assuming its a male idk though)
The things that make me question whether its a scam or not is that he offered direct deposit, when i questioned him and expressed my concern about it being a scam he seem like he was just going to let me go on my way, not really convincing me that this would be an amazing oppurtunity as i'd assume scammers would do anything they can to real you in, and he texted like an average joe. Again, i'm waiting on furthor details, but what are your thoughts?
Of course it is a scam and one in which you will lose money and posibly go to jail.
