Is this ebay listing/seller legit?

If there are other people bidding, you don't know what their max bid is so whilever your bid isn't more than that, you won't be winning. So now, your $700 max bid has put you in front. Provided no one else bids more than $700, you'll win it. However, other people might still bid and push up your price. eBay will only use as much of your $700 max as it takes you to stay in front. Is it legit? What feedback score and % does the seller have? That's what tells you if your seller is good or not. Where is the bike? Are you picking it up or will it have to be shipped. If shipped, you'd better find out how much that will cost you. I sold a bike once (a look bike for $2000) it cost the buyer $250 in freight shipping (and I had to pack the darn thing in like 20 metres of bubble wrap). It took the buyer over an hour to extract it from its protective layer but at least the bike wasnt damaged (being carbon fibre). Good luck.

This is the new (supposedly more convenient and less confusing) way ebay has of showing who is on top with the auction bids.

Your buyer-name (presumably g***F) is shown coz you won the bid-war at these different bid-values. Nobody wants to see a list of losing bids - it detracts from the ethos of the site, where everybody wins!

I suspect that with over 19 hours to go of a 5 day sale, your competing bidder is waiting for the final few minutes - when he/she will sweep in to outbid you.

Given that a brand new Cannondale frameset could cost $3000, I think you're getting a good deal.

The reason you may have been outbid is because the past highest bidder probably entered a max bid, so every time you bidded at first, his bid kept getting higher because he had a max bid. He is legit, as far as I know.

i would say the seller is legit they have 100% feedback and 887 feedback so i would say they are a seasoned ebayer. when it said you kept being out bid that was because the person that bid before you set a price that they wanted to pay then ebay kept bidding for then until that price was met. once they notice that they have been out bid they my out bid u again.

that is just the max bid system. people can put in their highest possible bid and you have to bid until you beat their invisible number.

it's just the way ebay works

Ive been looking for this bike frame for a while so when I saw the listing I immediately jumped the gun. I tried to outbid the current bid by $20 but every time I tried to confirm the new bid it said someone outbid me. So I jumped to 700 and I am the current winning bidder. It was weird cause after that no one bidded against me. Everything I read so far the tells me the seller/listing is legit but I want to put it here to confirm otherwise.
