Self hosted usually means running the site on a hosting account your pare paying for. Many paid hosts have easy wordpress installers and these days typically offer "unlimited" accounts that your can use for multiple sites with just the added $12/yr cost of more domain names.

It's a CMS you can use the cms for free to develop your website.
If you are looking for hosting then you have to buy a hosting package from godaddy or hostgator.

Wordpress is only a CMS (content management solution). You need to buy hosting separately from hosting providers like Siteground, Hostgator, Go Daddy etc. You may also need to get yourself a domain

Hi, no- wordpress org is not a blog host, you have to buy your own domain and hosting.
If you want to self host a WordPress blog then just get hosting at a company like hostgator or bluehost, or any webhost that uses cpanel. once you have your hosting set up all you do is go into the cpanel scroll to scripts and there are scripts to install Wordpress with one click, then just build your blog
