Other than that, do backlinking and linkbuilding, social media marketing, marketing to your local clients this way and they would, after liking what you have on your site, share your site with others on social media and forums and link back to you themselves.
Also, it's not a bad idea to have an SEO company look at your site, they could offer you free advice on what to do more and maybe offer you a good cheap affordable package that can get all this and more done for you easily while you work on improving your site's design and content.

That header design does not yell professional and reliable, you can't underestimate the importance of having an optimized sales page design, at least try getting some designer on Fiverr.com to provide an alternative for $5. These guys sell a report on a bunch of different small design changes they have found to increase sales. http://43splittests.org/
Add dog owner related articles to the site to help attract more search engine traffic, give the products longer loving descriptions, search spiders love having words to chew on (good to see the USPS spelling is fixed)
Your advertising investment if not in paid ads may have to be in the form of time, participating in forums being a helpful citizen and generating signature links on multiple site, finding and commenting on related blog articles, perhaps writing original articles for directories like Einearticles.com that give you an author credit link, guest writing for a quality blog with good page rank might be a worthwhile investment. It's common for some successful store site owners to spend almost as much time away from their site doing promotion.
Mailing lists are gold, a number of the large store sites can afford to lose money acquiring a new customer knowing they will profit in the long run in repeat sales, it is far easier to make sales to proven buyers, get your buyers and visitors to sign up to your email list, send out newsletters with helpful information as well as subtle new product announcements at least twice a month.
MailChimp.com is an example of a free autoresponder service that can automatically send out a pre-written series of emails starting when someone signs up.
Social media is your friend! Go to Twitter and Facebook to advertise there. You can drive traffic from those pages to your store via promotions and other things. Start a blog if you haven't already or introduce pet-themed articles and content on your website. Lots of ideas!

Hello All,
We have an online dog store, and I need help with ideas on how to increase visibility and increase sales.
Let me start by saying that I realize I only have one method of payment and that's with paypal, and that we are not SSL Secured and have no interest in become SSL secured since we only deal with PayPal payments. Also we will open a blog in the next few days.
What I need is some ideas as to how to increase traffic, sales and anything I can possibly do to improve the look of the website and the feel.
The website is http://www.accessorizemydog.com/default.asp; we have been using SEO Meta tags, been getting inbound anchor links from others. Besides that what can I do to improve the quality of my site, and traffic. We have just opened recently so don't have the budget for PPC, and we also sell on ETSY since we have hand made products.
Thanks
:)
