New Business Idea?

My husband offers a delivery service of snacks and drinks, weekly, to small businesses

He offers free delivery, as he incorporates his delivery costs within the prices of the box

If you are talking about making and baking in your own home ,then you need to check out the licences you need to do that. and the certificates you need also, along the lines of Food handling and food hygiene

Your kitchen needs to be inspected as well

so check all this out with your local council first, and also check out prices of insurance

I think that is a great idea!

However, nowadays there is a concept of moving onto healthier foods. Therefore, if you would like the business to become a success, I believe you should have a variety of different foods selling.

Try doing some market research and see what the public would like.

Good luck :)

These busineses do not make money.

Ever watch shark tank?

The cost of making your product is simply too much along with shipping.

If you were EXTREMELY lucky, you could break even.

Note: People now are moving into HEALTHY FOODS.

If you want to make money. Focus on that.

Low fat, high protein, high fiber.

Not fattening food. We have enough of that.

Why don't you try and sell a few homemade cakes and cookies to see if anyone will buy from you and your mum before you worry about brand names? Surely your mum would know such basics? Just how old is your mum anyways because the pair of you seem to be clueless about life and business.

Apart from going through the Council to get permission as above, it is not cost effective. The postage will be huge, why order from you, when I can go to the local bakers. Food also gets bashed about on route. Who wants squashed cakes.

Me and my mum had the idea of setting up a business along the lines of a graze box but simply for sweet homebaked cakes and cookies etc. we have a few ideas about brand name, recipes and packaging but are a bit stumped on the price especially as delivery is so expensive! Would really appreciate any ideas on how much you would be willing to pay for a weekly or monthly box of four or so slices of cake or cookies or cheesecake or whatever excluding delivery?

Thanks!
