Beware, selling something like an iphone will bring all the sharks out, the first thing they will see is your 0 Feedback rating.
That will put off all the genuine buyers like me, I would not touch someone selling an iphone with a zero rating.
But all the douche bags with several accoounts all below 100 rating and 95% feedabck or less will bid the price up, pay you through Paypal and immediately launch an appeal and claim the money back from you.
You end up with no phone and no money.
Although you will get less, you are better going to Cash converters, you end up with 30% to 50% less but via Ebay as a first timer you will end up with Nothing.
Gumtree as a cash sale, you will still get pratts answering but you are in more control.

He is talking about someone like me advertising, that has a good History and knows all the scams, and would block people I knew were trouble, you are selling one of the most desirable items without any previous knowledge (his seems thin) of how these people work.
Also the fees will add up to about 15% for an iphone.
The best thing to do is to search for thesame model your about to sell on ebay, and just look at the price its selling for, postage etc, and use it for your listing.
And dont worry about scams, you cant get scammed if your selling because the buyer has to pay you before you send the item, so basicaly if he dosnt pay you simply dont send it, also paypal and ebay is pretty good at avoiding scams, if you have a problem just contact them.

Before offering on ebay, price up at www.webuy.com (Cex) and weigh that against what you end up with once ebay (?10% of sale price) and Paypal ('bout 4%) take out of it.
Read ebay's help pages for new sellers. That's what they are there for!
