Coco cola and Pepsi seem to always be the same price in the grocery stores and other places. Store brands much cheaper. You can bet that they are very closely watching their costs. Since water weight is high, they always watch these transportation costs.
I quit the name brands some time ago when i found that the store brands tasted the same.
Coca Cola is a brand so can differ from shop to shop in terms of price!
Look at the grocery store advertisements, typically off brand sodas will be cheaper. Coke probably enforces some informal price controls, although the law doesn't allow this.
Soda is one of those items where price is based on perceived value and not production cost, the additive nature of these products allow them to charge a bit more.
Go into a local supermarket and make a note of all the various cola prices and contents.
Well coke is a premium brand with a global appeal that has cornered the market in most places, as a result of this it can charge premium brand prices as the paying customer knows you get what you pay for.
Look at individual sites such as Tesco, Sainsburys etc or any supermarket comparison website (should get you all you need in a couple of clicks!).
Just go to your local shop....
