Of course you can use the same ID but always use different tracking. In fact, I have hundreds of tracking codes because if you don't keep track on what's working and what's not, you're wasting lots of money. The same goes for blogs. I'd even set different tracking (under the same ID) for each of my banners/links, so that I know which converts better. Whether it's the banner in the header or that one in the sidebar or it converts better if I put the links within my articles. You need to keep leveraging the most effective ways in your business.
Usually with affiliate programs you sign up with your name, contact email and payment email. Not many worry about site details.
That means you can place your affiliate details on as many sites as you wish although you should only market products pertinent to the niche of your website.
Hi,
You can keep the same id, as it's just used to firstly identify you.
Moreover, you can promote your affiliate link outside your blog (youtube, emailing, forums,...)
Okay, so I read that most, perhaps all, programs will let you enroll multiple websites under the same ID and tracking.
But what if you have a blog/site already signed up with a program and then, let's say, a few months later you decide to build another blog/site; and would like to use the same affiliate.
Because you didn't enroll them at the same time for the first application, does that mean one would have to create a second submission/ID for the new blog?
The money will all go to the same account anyway... but I'm just wondering.
(I hope this wasn't confusing, I can't get a clear answer anyplace else.)
