When I was selling on ebay, it was mostly vintage odds and ends from around the house. You can also sell DVD sets, CDs....just about anything you have an excess of. Good luck.
Why would you do something you have no experience in or idea about? In you case you would be better off producing rocket engines for NASA, this would definitely pay off better?

Trading involves buying stuff and selling it on for a profit. We've been doing that for thousands of years. All eBay does is provide you with a marketplace. Don't confuse the medium with the activity. If you can work out something that people will buy, and you can make it or buy it cheaply enough to show a profit, then eBay gives you an easy way to do it. However, if it was that easy, we'd all be doing it.
