The majority are scams! Never send money to anyone for the the promise of work.
Although I live in Ireland, I do a number of on-line surveys. Some are better than others in what is on offer. Over the last twelve months, I have had a cheque for Euro 100, E 100 in 'Amazon' vouchers and about E50 in other vouchers, along with numerous entries into prize draws, (never won anything!). Just put 'on line surveys' into a search engine and see what comes up. You will not make your fortune, but it is nice when you get a reward. Good luck.
Edit: Not sure what the problem is with the other answerers, but there are genuine survey companies out there - 'Surveyhead' and 'Gfk' are two that I can think off. Obviously, you do not send money to anyone, but I can assure you that I do get rewards!
