Ranking a website has more to do with the relevant quality backlinks that point to your site rather then content. First things first - Make sure your on-page SEO is all good (main KW in H1 tags, KW in title of page or post, KW in description)(also put between 300-400 word of content on the page you want to rank). If all these things are correct often times you can rank without backlinks for a really low competitive term.
But aside from than focus on building links slowly to your site from quality relevant sources. What this means is that if your site is about "cats" a link from a "shoe" company has very little value. Also make sure the links come from a reputable site and not some spammy website.

Hello, me and few friends build a website for a specific kind of videos. We have done keyword research and people are interested in those videos, but they are hard to find across the web so we search for them in YouTube and other sites and we embed them at our. The idea of the page is to be something like collection of all those videos.But whateva the main question is that we can't rank on Google by the keywords that we target because the page`s content is low and maybe not "unique".
