What Can I do? Bad Situation?

Call or visit retirement homes or hospice care facilities w the animals to offer them for free. They won't mind that the animals are older where younger ppl prefer puppies n kittens. Elderly ppl can sometimes be very lonely n it's been shown that having an animal around is very comforting for them n gives them much needed companionship.

Post pics on fb or craigslist "free dogs, free cats to good homes".

Good luck to you that is very sad-I love animals-it's so nice for u to be helping out for this important cause.

These situations are never an easy fix. People like your friend have an intense passion for animals. So intense that she will feel guilty for turning down or seeing just one animal in need. Often people like this will commit to helping these animals at the expense of their own needs, their finances, even as far as their personal hygiene and living conditions and in really bad cases, their relationships/spouses. Your friend needs your help not financially anymore, but to simply sit and address the issue and make a reasonable limit regarding these animal. If she does not own a proper facility with 100or so cages/kennels holding a water and food dish with two animals per cage, and the financial ability to provide a minimum of two bowl fillings daily for each cage without straining her wallet, then she needs to discipline herself to contact other agencies for transfer of a portion of the animals or simply re release them back into a wooded area where they can hunt for food and live their own lives and fend for themselves. A stray animal will find means of eating as a survival instinct. Meanwhile she needs to set a reasonable limit as to how many she can and will house, and stick to that figure. And as of now, DO NOT ACCEPT ANYMORE ANIMALS AND LEAVE A SIGN ON HER DOORSTEP WARNING OTHERS NOT TO LEAVE ANYMORE THERE EITHER until she can afford to lease a facility to properly house all of them. Also consider writing political officials and region/state officials of wherever she lives and ask for some type of grant to build and open or to rent a space. U see in the u.s. these shelters get funded by the state to finance the business. With supplemental profit coming from adoption fees, and animal drop off fees. It won't be easy , your friend will not want to return any of the animals back out, but she needs to take a look at the situation and ask "am i one of these crazy people who are trying to do good but am in the process becoming a complete mess??" If yes, its time to decide...me or some stray animals.

Well, first of all let me appreciate the feelings of love and sympathy you and your friend have for the animals. Secondly, in this situation I would suggest you that other people should also be informed/motivated to join this act of kindness so that sufficient funds may be collected for providing food to these animals.

Try to find a way to set up a web site or find a charity web site that allows u to list ur cause on it.

My friend rescues abused animals in Peru, where there are not shelters like in other countries, on top of that when people dont know what to do with their animals they left them inside a box at her front door. She has between 100 cats and dogs at the moment. Nobody wants to adopt them either because they are not "breed animals" or because they are old. She doesnt know what else to do. She relies on people like me who donate money every week so that the animals have something to eat but there are some days when the animals dont eat at all cause money is tight.

Do you have any idea how can I help her? I feel so bad for her :(
