You can always "bid" on writing jobs by signing up with Guru.com and or Elance.com. However, most of the projects are priced low at $250 and under.
Freelance Writing Gigs and Online Writing Jobs post writing jobs. But most of the jobs are from Craigslist. This doesn't mean you can't find good paying freelance writing jobs on Craigslist, but you'll have to sort through them to see which ones pay the best and are legitimate.
Freelance Job Openings and JournalismJobs have a good selection of blogging, copy writing, and other writing jobs. You can always try Indeed.com, TweetMyJobs, and TwitJobs.
Remember...Freelance writing is a business. Please realize that you'll be asked to create a contract between you and the client (sometimes the client will have a contract prepared). Keep it simple and make sure you include information such as the scope of work, deadlines dates, payment schedule, and other pertinent information. Try visiting online outsourcing marketplaces like Freelancer.com. They have thousands of project listings on writing, blogs and more. I've been using it for the past several months and it has netted me several great jobs. Just make sure to view the employer's ratings and feedback. The higher and more feedback the employer has, the better. And always, always ask for a milestone payment. Asking for one will reassure you that the employer has money to fund the project.
