￡12 with free... the word free is subconsciously appealing to the human mind

they are not same only in prices or cost the $12 item is worth more than the 10$ item period.

If you are thinking about ebaying an item i would go with A as many people put a top sum they want to spend in the search engine, if the most they want to spend is a tenner plus post they would see your listing A but not listing B.

Usually paying for delivery would increase the quality/speed of delivery compared to free delivery.
