I was with you right up until "realistic".
Unfortunately, rerouting a major river so it flows through the house, washing away everything in it's path isn't realistic.
Neither is anything involving heat or flame, along the lines of the principle of a self cleaning oven (or dare I say, a flame thrower).
Some kind of clear spray on plastic film used in the inside of the house to make an easy clean surface sounds like it might be venturing into the realm of the unrealistic, as well.
Perhaps I should hire someone... University students are always looking for flexible part time work, it is only a couple of hours, every week or so. Yes, that might be the best idea.
oh well they made a vacuum cleaner that just goes all around the floor, but there should be something that would goo all around the walls, and clean the walls, and if it comes to a picture frame, it can sense it's there, and would maneuver around it
