You can get a Sunday paper for a dollar at most Dollar Tree's, this is where most coupons come from. Go in first thing Monday morning and ask them if they have any "sales papers" they can let you have or if you can buy a paper at a cheaper price. Also, online. It's about where you shop also. Publix and Bi-Lo have online coupons, store only coupons, and then you can also use manufactures coupons (and I think Bi-Lo doubles coupons). This one lady on extreme couponing did 22 separate transactions in order to only pay $0.56 at Kmart (but she also had Shop Your Way Rewards points). Other people get inserts for free from their local newspaper office(they have a ton of leftover inserts). BUT the thing you really have to pay attention to is whether or not you can use items. I'm mostly a healthy eater, so couponing for me isn't really smart (because most coupons are processed junk) but what I can save money on is toilet paper, body wash/soap, vitamins and other otc medications, laundry detergent, and dish detergent. Figure out what's useful and what's not, then coupon accordingly (go to the manufacturers website of every product you buy and they usually have a "promotion" section that has that month's coupons).
Many of the online coupon sites have mostly the same coupons and promo codes that they receive directly from the retailers. However, several of the top coupon sites like CheapSally.com CouponCabin and Retailmenot work closely with the retailers to provide exclusive coupons for their users that you cant find anywhere else. Some of these sites also have user bases that will add coupons for them and as a result you can generally find some of the exclusive offers spread around on several sites. Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for though. I recommend browsing through these sites and between them you can usually find a coupon code for just about any store.
Here's a legit website that will give you a number of possible websites to get coupons at:
freakyfreddies.com.
It advertises only legit site on the web. You might fill up forms in the process, but it is much about your name and e-mail address, and no sensitive information. You can be sure to get wonderful treats and save a good amount of money.
A boatload of coupons usually come with Sunday paper.
Or Google "couponing". I'll bet there are a boatload of websites dedicated to this very thing.
Do not expect buying $800 worth of random **** that you dont need and getting it after coupons for like .45cents. Its really not like the tv shows. They have them in the free local newspapers or just ask your neighbors if your that desperate. Honestly its good to save a few bucks here and there but dont feel pressured to but **** because you have a coupon for it.
Sunday papers come with coupons, but they are not a good buy each. Find out where they discard the undelivered extras. You can ask oldfolks who enjoy reading but not shopping; etc.
I'm a broke college kid and have been considering couponing to help save some money but I don't know where to start! Any ideas? Or where I could find good coupons?
