Starting your own blog these days is very simple. There are many blogging systems available for free on the internet. I have tried most of them, but at the end it all comes to these choices:
1.) Blogger.com
2.) Wordpress.com
Both services are good but for start I recommend you to go with Blogger.com. Simply because it gives you way more features for free when we compare it to Wordpress.
With Blogger you can fully customize your template, purchase and add your domain name (recommended) and more. You do not have to worry about web hosting and maintenance. Also, Google loves blogs hosted on their service.
If you want to, you can also buy a hosting and host fully managed Wordpress.org blog on your own domain.

In my opinion,the wordpress.com is good for blogs.if you want that more people attract towards your blog then you need to put the quality and interesting content so that people get benefited.
