Odesk may be best suited to the low to mid level worker, their qualification exams are unique.
Elance may be a bit more for the advance professional, you have to pay extra fees to bid on a certain number of projects.
Elance alone reports their (mostly skilled) workers earned $285 Million in 2013

Freelancer seems to have a reputation for being he wild west of freelance sites with more workers and employers scamming each other.
The three sites you list are the biggest and best freelance sites. The only other sites are very specialised like for programmers or graphic designers but don't even have 1/100th of the jobs posted on the sites you list
