Because they wernt making enough money because most people download songs and albums for free now on the internet
They are bankrupt. HMV wasn't making enough money, so, yeah. They had to close down.
Blockbusters has closed down because of the same problem.
Another company have bought it. Stores are struggling because online shopping is becoming the way to shop now.
Because their senior management lost touch with the real world years ago.
Because people buy music online these days.
